Marks: 40, W/ge: 20%
Place: S-321, Timings: 08:15-09:15 am
Pattern: MCQs, short questions, problems, long question
Topics: uses and misuses of stats ib biology, terminology in biostatistics, scales of measurement, data and its types, measures of central tendency (ungrouped and grouped data),measures of disperssion (ungrouped and grouped data), hypothesis testing, t-test.

Special Instructions: Bring your own calculator. Use of cell phone will not be allowed in any case.

Home Work to be Discussed in next Lab

Make examples for "population, sample and variable". Bring these to the upcoming lab and discuss these.
Population is a whole set of objects, things, people etc.
Sample is a representative, randomized set of a population, if it is required.
Variable is any measurable that changes it value over time.
